after a week and a half of nothing, i decided to run LGENavi.exe (main exec) through PE Explorer, to my suprise it says that its made for a machine with r4000 (MIPS?)

Lets says that it IS a MIPS processor, are there any tools that are written in a mips code??

is there any actual GPS software that is MIPS? Is it possible to convert arm code to mips?!

That is a real surprise. I didn't know any GPS used a MIPS chip. Some programs are still made for MIPS. I don't know of any GPS program though. Older programs that were meant specifically for CE were compiled to run on multiple chip types. There is no way to convert these programs. You would have to reverse engineer the code or have the original source code and recompile them. I thought old Apples use to use MIPS chips or was it RISC, I forget. You can try to see if you can find an old Apple software and see if it works.

Wow this sucks...strange this is that the info on PDAdb
http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=1427&view=1

they say it a centrality atlas II cpu...that supports ARM...but my destinator exec file is clearly R4000...
im so confused...i called lg Canada...LG USA...a whole bunch of service centers to know how to get to the factory mode...
LG wont tell me, and service centers have no idea...I once got to that factory mode once, no idea how i did it though. never was able to reproduce it! im sure i could do something through there...

Does you device run Destinator? If so you can get to the desktop just by modifying the skin file.

Are you able to use ActiveSync to view the contents of your device? Also can you upload your destinator.exe file?

I confirmed that the program is for a R3000 processor. This is something new to me. Try the following.

Install the program I attached onto your computer.
Connect your GPS to the computer and get ActiveSynce working.
Run the program and hit the connect button.
You should see the GPS's registry.
There is an option in the program to export the registry. You may have to do one major key at a time.

I'm guessing there is a setting in the registry that loads the GPS program and the menu that you see when you exit Destinator. If you can find these in the registry and just change it to load explorer.exe, you should be able to get to the desktop. You should already have explorer.exe on your device under a windows directory or something like that. If not, you can find it on the web, just look around.

If you send me the registrys you export, I can look for you.
